HSiF workshop with Port Sight Tax: legal aspects of business made simple On 4 March 2026, The Hague Student Investment Fund (HSIF) had the opportunity to host an engaging and interactive workshop in partnership with Port Sight Tax, focused on the legal basics every student entrepreneur should know 👌. The session provided participants with valuable insights into different legal business structures, including a sole trader, a B.V. (private limited company), and an N.V. (public limited company). In addition, the workshop covered fundamental tax obligations such as VAT, while also highlighting common legal risks that founders often overlook when starting a business. To encourage discussion, participants were invited to ask questions throughout the workshop each question even came with a small incentive: a Kit Kat bar. This created a lively and interactive environment where students felt comfortable raising their doubts and exploring practical legal issues. Alongside the discussion, the team from Portsighttax presented several case studies, allowing participants to apply the concepts discussed during the session to real-world scenarios. The event concluded with a networking session where attendees could connect with fellow students and professionals while enjoying pizza, snacks, and drinks, of course 😀
